Bolger / Bolgar / Boulger / Bulger
Los BOLGER -en irlandés O'Bolguidhur- están íntimamente ligados al sudoeste de Irlanda y muy raramente se los encuentra fuera de esa zona. Según resulta de frecuentes referencias de los siglos XV y XVI, este clan dió muchos médicos a los caudillos comarcanos, y también jueces y clérigos, principalmente en Kilkenny.
The name Bolger is taken from the Gaelic O'Bolguidhir sept that was located in County Wexford. From Wexford the name spread into the adjoining Counties of Kilkenny and Wexford. This sept were renowned physicians. Variants of this name include Boulger, Bolgar and Bulger.
