Los Collins irlandeses son descendientes del clan O'Coileain -O'Cullane en irlandés- de Limerick. Sus armas: en campo de plata, dos leones rampantes afrontados, de su color natural, y por cimera un pelícano hiriéndose en el pecho, con las alas extendidas, de su color.

Origen: Irlandés, Normando. Encontrados primero en el Norte de Desmond, la parte posterior de County Limerick, donde ellos fueron señores de las baronias de Connello y señores de Eighter Conghalach (Lower Connello -Connello más Bajo-). Collins is a name of Anglo-Saxon origin and came from the personal name Nicholas. A common diminutive of the name Nicholas was Colin. First found in Shropshire where they were seated before the Norman Conquest and were Lords of the manor having large estates in that shire and in neighbouring Herefordshire.
